Durex says it is making fashion debut with streetwear collection on Apr 1
The collection will be limited-edition and appeal to the Gen Zs, it claims.
Durex has announced that they are slated to enter the world of fashion with an all-new limited edition streetwear collection which will launch on Friday (Apr 1).
To cater to the Gen Zs, the collection will include an oversized white slogan tee, statement socks, a tote bag as well as a bucket hat. These apparel will be emblazoned with bold and punny taglines such as “Safe Tee First” and “Wrap That Head”.
Said to be made with new avant-garde materials, the collection will come in a variety of sizes so that customers can “find the perfect fit”.
It has not been disclosed if this announcement is part of an April Fool’s gimmick as Durex has a track record of playing unorthodox pranks during this period.
During March of last year, the condom brand announced that they would be releasing Singapore’s Favourites Flavoured condoms with flavours such as Singapore Chendol, Mao Shan Wang as well as Botak Coconut Sherbet.
This was later revealed to be a joke.
According to Durex, this limited edition collection “empowers individuals to make their condom purchases bolder and in style”.
