Disney+ to add more Korean and Southeast Asian content
New titles include Soundtrack #1, Crazy Love, Jurnal Risa, and Teluh Darah.
Disney+ is expanding its content library to include fresh content from Korea and Southeast Asia, with star-studded K-dramas like Big Mouth, Soundtrack #1, Crazy Love and popular series like Wedding Agreement The Series, Jurnal Risa, and Teluh Darah.
This announcement follows the success of shows like Grid, Snowdrop, Rookie Cops, Outrun by Running Man, and BLACKPINK THE MOVIE on Disney+ over the past few months, along with the company’s commitment to showcase the best local language stories from across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
First announced in Oct 2021 as part of the APAC Content Showcase, the company has confirmed its ambitious plans to greenlight over 50 APAC Originals by 2023.
Here’s a look at the latest line-up:
Big Mouth
When a third-rate lawyer, Park Chang-ho (played by Lee Jong-siuk) is forced to take on a murder case in an attempt to turn his life around, he ends up getting tangled in a complex conspiracy that threatens more than just his career. His wife, Go Mi-ho (Lim Yoon-a) attempts to clear his name.
Soundtrack #1

Songwriter Eun-soo (played by Han So-hee) asks her best friend Sun-woo (played by Park Hyung-sik) to stay with her for two weeks to help her write lyrics for a song about unrequited love. Forced to walk the fine line between friendship and romance, the two work together to write a hit song and figure out what will happen to their friendship.
The Zone: Survival Mission
Beloved emcee Yoo Jae Suk, Actor Lee Kwang Soo and Yuri from Girls’ Generation are united for The Zone: Survival Mission. The show throws these celebrities into different themed rooms and virtual spaces – challenging them to overcome the unexpected and to survive in order to win.
Crazy Love

When mathematical genius CEO Noh Go-Jin (played by Kim Jae-wook) begins to receive death threats from an unknown person, he hatches an elaborate plan to track them down. Shortly after the start of his plan, Lee Shin-a (played by Krystal Jung), an introverted hard-working secretary who has recently been diagnosed with a life threatening disease and who plans to take revenge for her poor treatment at his company, discovers Go-Jin in an unusual situation.

As for the upcoming Indonesian stories, titles include Wedding Agreement The Series, Jurnal Risa from the Danur Horror Universe, Keluarga Cemara The Series – a spin-off of the 1996 TV series and 2019 hit movie, and horror series Teluh Darah.
