Disney releases teaser for live action remake of Pinocchio
Pinocchio is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Sep 8.
Disney had just released the official teaser for the live action remake of Pinocchio, on May 31.
Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis directs this classic Disney tale about the adventure a wooden puppet takes to become a real boy.
Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood carver responsible for creating Pinocchio, played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who wishes for him to become a real boy.
The star-studded cast in this movie also includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, as well as Keegan-Michael Key as Honest John.
A new character, The Coachman played by Luke Evans, will also be featured in the movie.
Pinocchio is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Sep 8 in celebration of Disney+ Day, the streaming service’s third anniversary since its launch in 2019.
Last year, Disney+ Day saw the release of many trailers for upcoming shows such as Moon Knight and Obi-Wan Kenobi. There were also many movies released on the streaming platform that day such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings as well as Jungle Cruise.
Disney+ will be announcing more exciting premieres and trailers coming up from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic for Disney+ Day 2022 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
