Disney+ releases first trailer for all-new adventure comedy Home Sweet Home Alone
‘Tis the season to defend your house from burglars.
Disney+ has released their first trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone, a Christmas adventure-comedy for the upcoming festive season.
If the title sounds familiar to you, it’s because the movie is a remake of the 1990 Christmas classic franchise Home Alone.
Following a similar plot as the original movie, mischievous but resourceful Max Mercer (Archie Yates) is left behind by his family as they travel to Japan for the holidays. However, unbeknownst to Max, a married couple plots to break into the Mercer’s.
With his creativity and quick wit, Max is determined to protect the house from the trespassers, and goes the extra mile to keep it safe with his DIY weaponry.
Fans of the original movie might notice some familiar faces in the trailer as well, such as a cop named McAllister. This is actually Buzz McAllister, who is played by none other than Devin Ratray, the older brother of Kevin McAllister in the 1990 movie.
Home Sweet Home Alone is the sixth installment of the Home Alone franchise, and will exclusively premiere on Disney+ on Nov 12 on Disney+ Day, which will be celebrated with new content releases, fan experiences, exclusive offers and more.
