Design studio XM unveils first Ultraman collectible
Pre-orders for the statue, priced at $1,399, can be made through XM’s website.
After bringing Mickey Mouse and Friends to life at Gardens by the Bay last month, homegrown design studio XM is now taking on one of Japan’s most iconic TV superheroes.
Named Ultraman (C Type), the statue unveiled on Feb 22 is the first in its range since the studio’s acquisition of the Ultraman license.

The 3D design of the statue was conceptualised by acclaimed sculptor Yoshihide Fujimoto, showing the titular figure in a defensive pose and hand-painted details made accurate to its screen counterpart.

“We hope that our Ultraman (C Type) statue collectible will bring a sense of nostalgia to everyone, and that they will enjoy the stories that each collectible will tell,” said Ben Ang, co-founder of XM, in the press statement.
Pre-orders for the premium collectible can be made via XM’s website, at $1,399 a piece.
