DBS partners Esplanade to run free public shows, experiential workshops
The programmes will be held on every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays.
A series of free programmes will be launched at the Esplanade in partnership with DBS bank.
Held at the Outdoor Theatre, which is renamed the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade for the next five years, these programmes will include live shows, interactive dialogues and experiential workshops.
They will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on public holidays.

Starting on May 3, the bank will also hold its own series of free programmes called DBS Perspectives @ Esplanade that will run mostly on the first and last Wednesday of every month.
The programme line-up seeks to bring diverse segments of the community together to explore, connect and engage on important themes related to Singapore’s past, present and future.
Programme topics will include light-hearted looks into intergenerational dynamics within the family, unpacking the nation’s sustainability concerns as well as diving into discussions around issues such as mental health.
With food being an essential part of Singapore’s culture and heritage, programmes will also focus on using food as a medium to spark new ideas and exchanges around Singapore’s food-related challenges, such as food waste.
The first programme in the series is the Intergenerational Fashion Runway, organised in partnership with local social enterprises City Sprouts, The Fashion Pulpit and Singapore Fashion Runway. Event-goers can look forward to seeing the social enterprises’ own beneficiaries as runway models on May 3.
DBS will also be Intensifying community programmes in and around Marina Bay.
First launched in 2013, the popular DBS Sailing at the Bay programme is now in its tenth year, with over 42,000 people having participated in the complimentary sailboat rides in Marina Bay.
Moving forward, DBS will be increasing the frequency of sailing from two to five days a week.

DBS will also return as the presenting sponsor of i Light Singapore, for the second year running. The festival will be held at Marina Bay from Jun 1 to 25 and admission is free.
