Customer’s special request turns GrabFood rider into chicken whisperer

Known for their speedy food delivery and quality customer service, GrabFood riders are the backbone of our food delivery business. 

Occasionally, these GrabFood riders receive the weirdest special requests from their customers, which they go the extra mile to fulfil. 

Singaporean GrabFood rider, Brandon Ng received one such special request. 

On May 5, Brandon Ng shared in a Facebook post that his customer asked him to leave the packed food at the gate and to help cage a live chicken that was running around the HDB corridor.

The request read: “Please leave the food at the gate will do btw if u see chicken running around outside, plz help me put it back in the cage for me yea later the cat eat.thx.”

The rider also posted a picture of him with the chicken. 

Although we are unsure if he actually put the chicken in the cage, he most likely did so. 

Brandon’s post went viral and was shared around 4,600 times. 

People were amused by the situation and some were in disbelief. One commenter even joked about the situation, writing: “hahaha the guy kene become zookeeper”. 

This was no doubt a weird special request, but considering how often such requests seem to take place, it will probably not be the last one Brandon will receive.
