If you’ve never tried creating a time capsule to see how much things change, now’s your chance!

Spotify users can now create their very own music time capsule to see how their music taste changes over the span of a year.

On the site, users first choose what item they want to “store” their virtual playlist in.

Next, they will be given a few question prompts to help them decide what songs to include, such as “a song that reminds you of your favourite person” and “a song that’s going to be this summer’s anthem”.

Users can refresh the prompts to pick the ones they like best, or let the website randomise and choose the songs if they are stuck and need inspiration.

Once complete, the playlist is locked and can only be opened a year later in January 2024.

Remember to check back in a year to see how accurate your predictions were, or if your tastes have changed at all!
