Missing Bangkok? You won’t need to travel there just to fulfill your cravings for Thai food next month.

The Chatuchak Night Market Singapore is all set to return from Feb 7 to Apr 2 with 180 food and merchandise vendors, including 60 from various provinces in Thailand.

There are also 20 vendors from the Bangkok Chatuchak Weekend Market that will be featured.

Spanning 25,000 sq ft, the open-air night market will take place at The Grandstand at Turf Club Road.

Some of the classics that are featured at this year’s night market include Cha Chak (Thai Teh Tarik), spicy pork ribs, coconut pancakes and Hat Yai desserts. There are also local vendors selling Thai fare such as boat noodles, Thai-style chicken satay and pork skewers.

There will also be 15 to 20 vendors offering halal-friendly options at the night market.

For those who are looking to get a drink or two with their friends, there will be an alcohol zone set up at the Singapore version of the night market, in partnership between the organiser and Thailand’s largest beverage company Chang Beer.

Apart from food, Thailand’s fashion and culture will be on show too. Costume rental stalls, retail, manicure and massage services will also be available at the night market.

The Chatuchak Night Market Singapore was previously held in 2020. But it was shuttered midway in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

A spokesperson for the Chatuchak Night Market Singapore revealed that the event attracted close to 450,000 attendees in 2020 and the organisers hope to attract more this year.

The night market will operate from 4pm to 10pm, Tuesdays to Sundays. All-day free parking is available at The Grandstand.
