Changi Airport named World’s Best Airport for the 12th time
Changi Airport also won the World’s Best Airport Dining and World’s Best Airport Leisure Amenities awards.
Singapore Changi Airport was named the World’s Best Airport for the 12th time at the World Airport Awards in Amsterdam on Wednesday (Mar 15).
The results were based on a survey conducted by Skytrax from August 2022 to February 2023.
Changi Airport also came in first for the World’s Best Airport Dining and World’s Best Airport Leisure Amenities awards.
Among the 550 participating airports, the second and third contenders were Doha Hamad, Qatar, followed by Tokyo Haneda, Japan’s busiest airport.

The World Airport Awards began in 1999, when Skytrax launched its first global Airport customer satisfaction survey.
The survey evaluates traveller experiences across different airport service and product key performance indicators – from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate.
The awards are regarded as a quality benchmark for the global airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across over 500 airports.
Changi Airport previously held the title of World’s Best Airport for eight years from 2013 to 2020, dropping to third place in 2021 and 2022 during the pandemic.
CEO of Changi Airport Group Lee Seow Huang said: “Changi Airport is honoured to be named World’s Best Airport for the twelfth time. This recognition is great encouragement to our airport community, who stood firmly together to battle the challenges of COVID-19 over the past two years.”
