Job seekers can apply and be hired on the spot at the One Aviation recruitment roadshow on May 27 and 28.
Changi Airport is holding a mass recruitment drive with more than 6,600 available job positions “to power Singapore’s travel recovery”, Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced on Tuesday (May 17).
In its Changi Journeys e-magazine, CAG said that many of the available job opportunities are frontline passenger service positions and newly created roles in innovation and technology.
Airport emergency service officers and cyber security officers are among the available positions. Both professional, manager, executive and technician (PMET) roles and non-PMET roles are available.
Suitable job seekers can “apply, get interviewed and be hired immediately” at the One Aviation recruitment roadshow at the Suntec City Convention Centre on May 27 and 28, CAG said.
More than 20 aviation companies will conduct on-site interviews at the roadshow. There will also be themed career talks from airport partners across passenger services, operations and engineering.
Ground handling firms SATS and dnata are among those hiring, with roles like customer service agents and food safety experts to be filled.
The airport partners will offer “market competitive salaries, incentives, and better career prospects” to attract new staff, CAG added. Prospects include redesigned roles through training and digitalisation.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the aviation sector lost nearly a third of its workforce.
Recently, demand for trained staff has increased again as passenger movement through Changi Airport has reached an all-time high in two years, with 1.93 million passengers passing through the airport in April.
