Carry BTS in your pocket with the new TinyTAN Tamagotchi
Get a taste of what it is like to become BTS’ manager as you engage the TinyTAN character in games to keep its happiness level up.
ARMY, ever wondered how it would feel to interact with BTS anytime you wanted? Now you won’t have to imagine anymore!
In collaboration with popular K-pop boy group BTS, Bandai Namco is set to release another variation of their famous Tamagotchi device with the TinyTAN Tamagotchi on Sep 17 in Japan and Korea.
Each TinyTAN character is based on a member of the band.
This is the second time Bandai Namco has released a BTS-themed device, the first being the BT21 Tamagotchi.
For those who are unfamiliar with Tamagotchi, it is a handheld digital pet simulation game where players need to keep tabs on their pet’s happiness and hunger levels to keep them happy.
The gameplay of the TinyTAN Tamagotchi slightly differs from the original. When this Tamagotchi is started up, instead of hatching from an egg, one of the seven TinyTANs characters makes its appearance through a Magic Door.
Likewise, instead of having the character die when it is neglected, the TinyTan characters will escape through the Magic Door when its stress barometer increases.

Unique to this version, there are two BTS-inspired mini-games, DANCE! Dynamite! and Make a Custard Tart! for players to engage their characters with.
The TinyTAN Tamagotchi is available in two different versions. The purple version draws inspiration from the Magic Door while the red version draws inspiration from their song MIC Drop.
There is also a limited-edition TinyTAN Hugmy Tamagotchi, which features an exclusive version of the device in black, hugged by a soft vinyl collectible figure of one of the seven character versions: RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V, or Jung Kook.
The TinyTAN Tamagotchi collection retails for ¥2,530 (S$27.20), and is available for pre-order on both the BTS Japan official shop and Amazon.
