Care Bears, Sesame Street, Peppa Pig: What to expect at Mint Museum of Toys’ Christmas popup GUERRILLA
Visitors can also enjoy exclusive drinks inspired by Sesame Street characters at the Mint Museum of Toys.
If you are looking to spend the festive season with toys, collectibles and even merchandise from your favourite hit TV shows, then the Mint Museum of Toys’ latest popup, GUERRILLA, is the place to be.
Spanning across four levels, the popup involving characters from iconic tv shows is the museum’s first Christmas event since the pandemic.
From showcases to activities, here are what you can look forward to at GUERRILLA:
Life bear hugs
In need of a hug?
At level five of the museum, larger-than-life plush bears await. Visitors can get to embrace the 1m-tall bears and create memories by snapping photographs of it.
The museum is also giving away surprise plushies each week to visitors. To stand a chance to win, visitors will need to post pictures with one of the five giant plush bears and tag the museum’s Instagram account.

Vintage and present-day film and cartoon animations
Forget Netflix and Disney+. The Mint Museum of Toys is screening films and animations of various genres from the 1920s to 2000s.
Some of the screenings include American Cartoon Animations, Classic Sesame Street, Peppa Pig Tales, Betty Boop, Rainbow High, Care Bears and the British Children Television Series – perfect for those who want to reminisce about their childhood.
The films and animations are screened on a medium-sized TV on level five (Outerspace), where visitors can grab a seat at the bench installed.

Collectibles for sale
Visitors who are still hunting for a gift this Christmas can welcome the season of giving by experiencing pop-up shopping at the museum.
The experience features merchandise, toys and collectibles of well-loved characters like Care Bears, Sesame Street, Peppa Pig and PJ Masks.
Local brand My Yellow Duck, whose beginnings can be traced back to 1997 when it started appearing on tv advertisements, is also featured, with keychains, backpacks and plush toys in varied sizes available.
Items such as school bags, water bottles, cutlery sets, tote bags and stationeries are also for sale at the pop-up during the festive season.

Exclusive Sesame Street-inspired drinks
One can also quench their thirst after touring the exhibition by trying out GUERRILLA’s exclusive mocktails and cocktails. These drinks are inspired by Sesame Street characters and crafted by Vertigo26, a hidden pub in the basement of the Mint Museum of Toys.
The pub also has an impressive vinyl collection on display that is for sale.

Exhibition Showcases
Visitors can take a walk down the memory lane when they look out for exhibition showcases featuring Care Bears, Sesame Street, Peppa Pig, PJ Masks, Little Prince, Rainbow High and L.O.L Surprise.
Through these exhibition showcases, visitors can delve into the contents about its history, background story and impact these characters and tv shows have had on one’s childhood since the 1960s.
Peppa Pig fans can view the showcase featuring its back to school merchandise like school bags, wallets and water bottles on the fifth level of the museum. The famed British TV series was first aired on May 31, 2004 and the plot centres around a cheeky little piglet who lives on a hill with her family.

The museum also has a wide collection of other vintage plush toys at the Childhood Favourites section on level three.
