Canon Singapore unveils local pricing for new model EOS R50
The EOS R50 was announced in early Feb, 2023.
The new Canon EOS R50, first unveiled in February, will be priced from $979 in Singapore, the company has announced.
The APS-C mirrorless camera is compact and lightweight, suitable for users who are on-the-go. The model boasts creative and automated features that allow users to create high-quality vlogs and images easily with minimal camera operation.
The EOS R50 body itself is available in black and white for $979.
Otherwise, there are also two kit lens options that customers can choose from – the RF S18-45mm ($1,139) or the RF S18-45 mm + RF S55-210mm ($1,509). Both come with the camera body.
All three options come with a 32GB SD card.
The camera contains a 24.2MP APS-C format image sensor which is thrice as large as the 1-inch sensor on the latest smartphones. It produces sharper images and videos of 24.2 MP even in low light.
Users would not have to worry about shaky footage or images when shooting handheld as the EOS R50 comes with two different image stabilisers called Movie IS (Image Stabiliser) that digitally perform 5-axis camera shake correction.
The EOS R50 automatically captures and blends exposure-bracketed images for a better night and backlit portraits, and focus-bracketed images for images that are in focus from front to back.
The camera also supports both USB and AC power charging.
In addition, any purchase of the EOS R50 from Mar 16 to Mar 31 will come with exclusive launch gifts that include $100 Capitaland vouchers, a premium USB-C cable, and a PIXMA E3370 printer. The promotion is applicable islandwide.
Physical store purchases will require customers to redeem the gifts at the customer care centre. For e-shop purchases, gifts will be shipped with the camera.
More information about the camera functions is available on Canon’s website.
