Bugis Junction cluster rises to 305
There were 450 new local COVID-19 infections on Thursday.
Eight new cases were linked to the Bugis Junction cluster on Thursday (Sep 9), bringing it to 305 cases total.
All new cases from that cluster have been quarantined earlier, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.
Singapore had 450 new local COVID-19 infections on Thursday.
Five out of eight bus interchanges affected by COVID-19 have 16 new cases linked to them.
There are now 190 cases at Toa Payoh Bus Interchange, 152 cases at Boon Lay Bus Interchange, 48 cases at Clementi Bus Interchange, 43 cases at Jurong East Bus Interchange, 41 cases at Punggol Bus Interchange, 45 cases at Tampines Bus Interchange, 35 cases at Bishan Bus Interchange and 28 cases at Sengkang Bus Interchange.
The clusters at Bishan, Sengkang and Clementi had no new cases.
Two new clusters were identified at Hu Lee Impex and Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard.
Nine new cases were linked to Hu Lee Impex, bringing the total number of cases linked to that location to 22. MOH said there was no evidence of spread beyond the workplace and household contacts of cases.
There were 14 new cases linked to Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard, with 32 total cases now linked to the cluster. Most cases are residents of 38 Kian Teck Dormitory and all new cases have been quarantined earlier.
An unvaccinated 62-year-old Singaporean man with a history of cancer and bronchiectasis has become Singapore’s 57th fatality from COVID-19.
Of the new local COVID-19 infections on Thursday, 152 were between ages 12 and 39.
There were seven imported cases who were placed either on Stay-Home Notice or in isolation upon arrival in Singapore.
