BTS’ Suga will hold his first-ever solo world tour this year, with two nights of performances at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This was announced by his label BIGHIT MUSIC through its social media pages on Tuesday (Feb 14).

Suga will perform as Agust D, an alias which is formed with the letters in “Suga” and “DT” (D Town), which stands for his hometown of Daegu.

The world tour will kick off in the United States on Apr 26 and 27 at Belmont Park. This is followed by four other US locations – Newark, Rosemont, Los Angeles and Oakland.

Other concert locations include Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. The world tour will then head to Korea and Japan after.

More ticketing details will be announced by concert promoter Live Nation in due time.

Suga released his first self-produced 10-track mixtape as Agust D in August 2016. He has since put out two solo albums.

His latest album D-2 was released in 2020. It was also the first Korean soloist’s album that surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify.

BIGHIT MUSIC announced in October 2022 that BTS will go on a temporary hiatus to serve in the South Korean military and have plans to reconvene as a group in 2025.

Member Jin was the first to start his mandatory military service in December 2022. The other members are currently working on their individual projects and activities before their scheduled enlistments.

Fellow member Jimin had recently collaborated with BIGBANG member Taeyang on his new single titled Vibe.

The last time BTS performed in Singapore was at the 2019 Love Yourself world tour. The seven-member group performed to an audience of 45,000 and made history as the first K-pop concert to sell out at the National Stadium.
