It's been a year since the Bishan mother has given birth to a litter of pups.
The iconic Bishan otter family welcomed six new pups earlier this month.
The pups were first photographed in the open on Nov 8, learning to swim with the adults. The family of at least 14 otters was later spotted by otter enthusiasts at the Marina Reservoir, where the pups were able to move freely on their own.
Given that the mother only has enough teats to provide milk to five pups at once, one pup would always have to wait for its turn to suckle. Nonetheless, both mother and her newborns still look healthy.
It is highly recommended that members of the public stay at least five feet away from the otters as the adults can be very protective of their pups.
