Barter market to be held at Asian Civilisations Museum from Jan 28-29
Admission is free.
As part of the Light To Night Festival 2022, the Asian Civilisations Museum will be hosting a trading bazaar curated by Studio29 from Jan 28 to 29.
Admission is free and all you simply need to bring is an object that you’re willing to trade with in exchange for handmade items, artworks or live experiences by local creatives. Such objects include craft items, artworks, small homeware, toys, trinkets or accessories.
If you don’t have anything tangible to give up, you can also offer a story or dream you have. Artist Stacy Tan will host a booth where you can share with her your fondest childhood memory to trade for a coin. The coin can be used to get Time Capsule balls from a gachapon machine.

Another artist whom you can tell your stories to is Anna Goh. By sharing something you’ve always been proud of, she can use that memory to illustrate a portrait of you with the use of markers and found materials.

The Barter Market will run from 6.30pm to 9pm at the River Room on level two. Visitors will be allowed to barter up to three items each day.
