Balenciaga and Adidas launch new collaboration, pre-order available till May 29
The collection includes sneakers, tracksuits, hoodies, tee shirts and more.
A collaboration between luxury fashion house Balenciaga and sportswear giant Adidas was officially launched on Sunday, May 22.
The joint venture was unveiled at Balenciaga’s Spring 2023 show in New York, which was attended by celebrities including Kanye West, Megan Thee Stallion and Pharrell Williams.
“Inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s, the inaugural collection is set to play host to an array of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and footwear,” said Adidas in its press release.
The collection has received the Balenciaga treatment with its oversized silhouette, seen across the range of tracksuits, hoodies, baggy jeans and tee shirts.
The standout in the line-up is the Adidas x Balenciaga Triple S which sticks with its signature chunky shape, embroidered with Adidas’s iconic triple stripes. This variation of the popular sneaker costs $1,550.
Accessories include the Balenciaga/Adidas Head Mask and the Balenciaga/Adidas Cap which are priced at $825 and $675 respectively.
Hoodies emblazoned with the logos of both brands are for sale as well from $1,550 onwards.
The collection is currently available for pre-order on Balenciaga’s webstore until May 29.
