Previously nestled in a cosy spot along Holland Drive, Taiwanese cafe Monki has opened a new outlet at Star Vista.

Run by a Taiwanese woman living in Singapore, the brightly-coloured cafe is popular for serving wallet-friendly Taiwanese cuisine such as Braised Pork Rice aka Lu Rou Fan and Oyster Mee Sua.

Apart from hearty meals, they also have iconic Taiwanese street snacks like Handmade Eggrolls, otherwise known as Dan Bing. You can even choose your filing be it sweet corn, chicken floss or cheese sausage.

For those with sweet tooths, you can try their Snowflake dessert which has up to 11 refreshing flavours.

Similar to the Korean dessert BingSu, the Snowflake dessert also features shaved ice with fresh fruit such as mango, watermelon and coconut. If you prefer something more savoury, you can opt for their black sesame or peanut butter flavours.

Monki is located on the first level of Star Vista. To find the outlet, simply look out for the eye-catching mural hand-painted by artist Nicia Lam.

Currently, they are not accepting reservations due to the limited seating available so do be prepared to wait in line.
