Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra to feature 2 Cultural Medallion winners in upcoming Jun 3 concert
Tickets for the Musical Mosaics concert are priced at $28 for adults and $10 for students.
The Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) will showcase the talents of two Cultural Medallion winners in its upcoming orchestra concert, Musical Mosaics, on Jun 3.
Held at the Victoria Concert Hall, the concert features multicultural music made using ethnic musical instruments.
Cultural Medallion winner in 2006 and accomplished violinist Lynette Seah will perform He Zhanhao and Chen Gang’s Butterfly Lovers’ Violin Concerto. The orchestra will be led by renowned conductor Tsung Yeh, who won the Cultural Medallion in 2013.
Tickets to the concert are priced at $28 for adults and $10 for students.
There will also be a pre-concert exhibition by around 25 student ambassadors highlighting Singapore’s multicultural music.
The young ambassadors will spend five weeks researching the ethnic instruments and composers whose works are being performed during the concert and interviewing the Cultural Medallion winners.
These ambassadors will then share their findings with concert attendees and engage them in conversations. The educational exhibition will be open to all ticket holders.
