Artworks by four local artists to be displayed at ‘Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom’ exhibition
The exhibition has been extended to Oct 3.
From 17 Sep onwards, local artists Florence Ng, Jahan Loh, Koh Dawn and Tunku Khalsom will be displaying their artworks at the Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom exhibition.
Chihuly is a world-renowned American glass artist and Dale Chihuly: Garden in Bloom is his first major garden exhibition in Asia.
These local artworks will be displayed at different locations of the exhibition and will complement Dale Chihuly’s pieces.
Florence Ng will be displaying Circle of Life (2021), a piece inspired by the stamen of the flower.
Jahan Loh will display Adam and Eve (2018), a bronze sculpture, while Koh Dawn will display Discover Your True Self (2021), a paper sculpture made from offcut paper, wires, watercolour and acrylic materials and wallpaper.
Tunku Khalsom will be displaying The Colours That Surround Us (2021), which is inspired by colours in the world.
The exhibition currently features 25 of Chihuly’s large-scale installations and more than 80 pedestal sculptures and two-dimensional works
Initially set to end on Aug 1, the exhibition has been extended until Oct 3. Artworks can be found in the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and Outdoor Gardens at Gardens by the Bay.
To make the exhibition accessible to more people, free guided tours, conducted by volunteer guides from Gardens by the Bay, will be available for those with additional communication needs.
Eligible beneficiaries can also get their exhibition tickets at half the price and free admission for an accompanying family member or caregiver.
The public can also expect guided tours of the exhibition, workshops, complementary activities including art jamming and picnics, as well as wellness sessions.
