ArtsXplore 2.0 exhibition pop-up by five youth teams ongoing till Mar 31

The teams’ project prototypes were created through a four-month mentorship programme.

After undergoing a four-month arts incubation and mentorship programme, five teams of youths are displaying their project prototypes at three venues along the Somerset Belt.

Titled ArtsXplore 2.0 Pop-Up Exhibition, the multi-site showcase in Orchard Central began on Mar 17 and will run till Mar 31.

ArtsXplore 2.0 is a joint initiative by the National Arts Council and the Somerset Belt that gives youths in Singapore aged 15 to 35 years old opportunities to learn from industry professionals and established artists.

Culminating in a showcase, each of the mentee team project prototypes are based on one of five ArtsXplore 2.0 themes – environment and sustainability, support for vulnerable groups, inclusivity, jobs and future of work, and mental well being. 

Below are the five exhibition pop-ups you can expect to see.

Philosophies of Work by Team Zen

The team consisting of Nicole, Krystal and Jia Min present an interactive exhibition reflecting on career perspectives.

OpenUP by Interspace

Through their art exhibit, Mariam and Yuqing explore support for seniors living in difficult circumstances.

Are You Biased? by Horizon

The team, made up of Charlene, Anna, Elizabeth and Zen, provide an immersive and interactive experience in challenging the public perception on disabilities.

Art Rojak by The Healing Hawkers

Aspiring young artists Khairil, Yumin, Deepesh and Tzen present innovative approaches to well-being and nutrition for the mind.

S.usTaint-Ability by Echo

Made up of a duo of passionate eco-advocates Andrhea and Kai Jun, the collaborative exhibit aims to spark an introspective and mindful environmental movement.
