Application for Parenthood Provisional Housing Scheme (PPHS) flats is open from now until Dec 14, and selection of eligible applicants will be made in January 2022. PPHS flats have short leases, and are meant to temporarily house families as they wait for their flats to be built. PPHS opens applications six times a year, from the first to the 14th of even months.

Rental rates are subject to location and type of flat. There are 20 locations available for this round of applications, with the least expensive being 2-room flats for $400 a month and the most expensive being 4-room flats on Tiong Bahru Road for $1,500 a month.

There are also 10 Polytechnic Apartments available, priced at either $1,146 or $1,296 a month. They are located next to Singapore Polytechnic (SP), but tenants will not be allowed to use SP’s facilities.

This is the first time Polytechnic Apartments are out for rental under PPHS. While PPHS rental flats normally come unfurnished, the ones in SP have basic amenities like sofas, tables and washing machines.

In total, there are 60 rental flats available under PPHS during this application period.

PPHS is open to those who are married, under the Fiancé/Fiancée Scheme, divorced with child or widowed with child. Details about applying can be found on HDB’s website.
