Application now open for FIFA World Cup 2022 volunteering programme
Candidates must be 18 years or older to apply.
Application for volunteers for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is officially open.
FIFA announced on Mar 22 that they will be accepting up to 20,000 volunteers across the world. The volunteers will work across 45 functional areas at official and non-official sites such as stadiums, training sites, the airport, fan zones, hotels, and public transportation hubs.
No prior experience is required and candidates are only required to be 18 years old or older from Oct 1 onwards and must be able to speak English. The ability to speak Arabic is not required, but will be an advantage.
Selected volunteers will also receive a limited-edition Adidas uniform. Meals will be provided during their shifts and they will also have free access to public transport. Some volunteers may start as early as Oct 1, depending on their roles.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will feature a total of 32 teams across the world, including countries such as Brazil and Argentina who have made it through the FIFA World Qualifiers.
The final draw for the group stage of the quadrennial international men’s competition will take place on Apr 1 in Doha.
