On Dec 8, Apple introduced the Airpods Max, a set of wireless headphones with an over-ear design and high-fidelity sound.

Retailing at $849, it is now available for order and will start shipping starting from Dec 15.

With a battery life of up to 20 hours, the set comes in five colours – silver, space grey, sky blue, pink and green.

The product features adaptive equalisers, active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and spatial audio for a breakthrough listening experience.

“The custom acoustic design, combined with powerful H1 chips, and advanced software enable AirPods Max to use computational audio to wirelessly deliver the ultimate personal listening experience,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

The Digital Crown is inspired by the Apple Watch, offering volume control and the ability to play or pause audio, skip tracks, answer or end phone calls, and activate Siri. The noise control button allows users to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode.

The product comes with a slim Smart Case that puts the Airpods Max in an ultralow power state. This helps to preserve battery when it is not in use.
