AFA Creators Super Fest to be held Jul 22 – 23; free workshops for ticket holders include cosplay design, photography
The 2023 edition of AFA Creators Super Fest will mark the first time the event has been held in Singapore.
Event-goers with tickets to the AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore 2023 can look forward to Creators Lab – a series of workshops and hands-on demonstrations including a wig-styling class and cosplay photography workshop.
Taking place from 10am to 7pm on Jul 22 and 23, the 2023 edition of AFA Creators Super Fest will mark the first time the event has been held in Singapore.
The first day of Creators Lab will feature workshops like Streaming & Vtubing Basics at 4.15pm, Basic Cosplay Photography With Your Mobile Phone at 11am and Sculpting Collectable Figurines in 3D at 1pm.
Featuring Burnbaeee, a popular Twitch streamer and VTuber, the Streaming & Vtubing Basics workshop will cover the basics of streaming, recommended equipment and software research tips and ideas for VTuber designs and personas, as well as Live2D rigging.

Held by guest cosplayer Ying Tze and photographer Prestonles, the Basic Cosplay Photography With Your Mobile Phone workshop will teach participants how to shoot cosplay photos using a mobile phone or entry-level camera, as well as how to pick up lighting tricks using household items.

Sculpting Collectable Figurines in 3D will feature Julian Khor, a senior lecturer at 3dsense Media School.
Participants can look forward to learning how to sculpt collectable figurines for production with the use of 3D software zbrush.

The second day of Creators Lab will feature workshops like Wig Styling Tricks & Cosplay Hacks at 11am and How to Turn your Passion into a Career for Creators and Creatives at 3.45pm.
Featuring guest cosplayer Xiaoyukiko, the workshop Wig Styling Tricks & Cosplay Hacks will cover wig styling basics, techniques to secure wigs to prevent slippage as well as how to alter store-bought costumes.

How to Turn your Passion into a Career for Creators and Creatives will feature Eric Ng, an award-winning producer as well as JJ Ong, a communications and marketing specialist, musician and lecturer at The Songwriter Music College (TSMC).
The talk will shed light on the ever-changing landscape of digital media, as well as how to find creative work to carve a career in the local creative industry.
