Republic of Gamers (ROG), a gaming desktop manufacturer under ASUS, is teaming up with IKEA to release a line of furniture and accessories designed specifically for gamers.

The line is described as ‘furniture that puts gaming first’, and has been designed to keep gamers looking good while still prioritising comfort.

“We want our products to offer better ergonomics and functions so that gamers can become even better at what they do without wearing out their bodies,” said Jon Karlsson, one of IKEA’s designers.

The line will feature over 30 products, ranging from gaming chairs and desks to mug holders and neck pillows. It launches on Nov 4, and will be available both in stores and on IKEA’s website.

In tandem with the release is IKEA’s first esports competition. DOTA 2 (Defense of the Ancients 2) players can register as competitors from Nov 4 to Nov 15, and the finals will be streamed live from IKEA Tampines on Nov 20.
