8,888 Ah Girls Go Army NFTs to be given out for free from Jan 28
The NFTs can be redeemed with every purchase of two advance movie tickets.
To kick off the launch of the upcoming Ah Girls Go Army in cinemas, mm2 Entertainment and the J Team have announced that they will be giving out 8,888 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from Jan 28.
NFTs are one-of-a-kind digital assets that can come in the form of photos, videos, audio, and even tweets. Much like limited-edition collectibles in real-life, the lesser the quantity of an NFT would mean the higher its value.
The NFTs come for free with every purchase of at least two advance movie tickets for the film, while stocks last.
Owners of the NFTs will gain access to future Ah Girls Go Army related events and merchandise, and will also be notified in advance of subsequent NFT drops.
Interested collectors can purchase their advance movie tickets here.
The NFTs will be available on the Metaviva NFT marketplace, which is a platform for tokens and collectibles of local entertainment launched by mm2 Entertainment.
The marketplace will include exclusive keyart, audio visual footage, music, animation, merchandise, and actual props of the movies, TV series and events of the franchise.
The Ah Girls Go Army NFTs can be redeemed on the Metaviva NFT Marketplace with a unique code on customers’ printed tickets from Cathay Cineplexes.
Ah Girls Go Army is the latest addition to local director Jack Neo’s Ah Boys to Men franchise. Advance ticket sales will begin on Jan 28. The movie will officially open islandwide on Feb 1.
