Fancy a frightful time this Halloween?

Though it might not be the most celebrated tradition in Singapore, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your share of scares this spooky season.

Here are some affordable decorations and costumes you can purchase from Daiso to have a fa-boo-lous Halloween at just $2.14 per item.

1. Sparkling Garlands

At 180cm long, the sparkly garlands are a versatile decoration. Coming in black, purple and orange, these garlands can be draped on your walls, or act as a backdrop for your other halloween props.

2. Halloween Lanterns

These battery-lit lanterns come in the form of an adorable ghost and pumpkin. A tiny hook on top of the handle allows you to hang them anywhere you like.

Dim the lights and flip the switch on for the lanterns to emit an eerie glow fitting for the most spook-tacular time of the year.

For other luminous items, Daiso’s Halloween LED ornaments are $4.07 each, with variations such as a pumpkin, ghost or a dead tree.

3. Spider Horror decoration

At a glance, these two palm-sized spiders appear horrifyingly realistic, with abdomens made to look like a human ribcage.

Coming in both black and white, they’re given a bone-like texture which makes these creepy crawlies all the more chilling.

For another $2.14, you can also buy a spiderweb from Daiso for an added touch of realism.

4. Headwear

Daiso’s Horror Masks are a way to spice up your costume, especially those with popping eyes. They may be comically large for your face, but they give the illusion of jumping right at you.

If you’re looking for something with a more sophisticated yet elusive vibe, you can consider going with the Lace Mask for an air of mystery and elegance.

You may find yourself spoiled for choice with the assortment of halloween-themed headwear at your disposal.

The cat ear hairpins and witch hat hairpins can be clipped on. They are so light you’ll barely notice they’re there.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also consider wearing headbands. Daiso’s devil headbands come in black, red and purple, with a spiderweb design on the horns.

Alternatively, character headbands give you the option to adorn your head with tiny bats, ghosts or pumpkins which sway at the slightest movement.

5. Hand-held accessories

To complete your costume, pick up some hand-held accessories.

With the monster cane you can choose between wielding a tiny pumpkin, cat, ghost or bat attached to a black stick and colourful ribbons.

While they’re not exactly scary, they do make for a fun addition to a fit if your outfit happens to fall on the cutesy side this halloween.

For a fang-tastic look, consider the Dracula Cape at $4.07.

You can find these items and more at all Daiso outlets and online.
