5 local TikTok pet accounts to brighten up your day
Cute animal videos are great mood-boosters.
It’s been almost a year since I downloaded TikTok and now I can’t go a day without spending at least 30 minutes scrolling through my “For You” page.
I especially enjoy TikToks featuring pets and their adorable antics. These videos have helped to improve my mood as well as relieve my stress and anxiety.
Here are five local TikTok pet accounts that will hopefully help to lift your spirits in these trying times.
1. Wolfie and Sharky - @littlewolfiebird
Wolfie and Sharky are beautiful blue parrotlets and probably the most talented birds you’ll ever see.
Wolfie was initially the solo star of the account and gained popularity due to his skateboarding skills. This well-trained bird can also play fetch, dunk a ball and give high fives.

Sharky joined Wolfie in April of this year and, although he is only a few months old, he has picked up a few tricks and is following in his brother’s footsteps.

Wolfie and Sharky have garnered a whopping 1.8 million followers to date, an impressive feat for such tiny creatures.
2. Towkay - @towkaytay49
Aptly named Towkay, which means boss, this orange Pomeranian is arguably one of Singapore’s sassiest dogs.
This adorable fluff ball has a penchant for hiding things in his mouth and being notoriously dramatic when it comes to walks.

One of my favourite Towkay TikToks involves him holding a cricket captive in his mouth, with his owner desperately trying to get him to open up.

His owner’s reaction to his antics, complete with a signature wobbly voice effect, makes Towkay’s TikToks even funnier.
Towkay also has super cute Telegram stickers. You can find the link on his TikTok account’s bio.
3. Tuti, Yuki and Moshi - @tutiandyuki
In need of some positivity in your life? These felines have got you covered.
Their owners frequently post wholesome videos with words of encouragement and reassurance in the captions. Close-up shots of Yuki, the white and brown cat, meowing softly at the camera and Tuti, the ginger cat, wearing adorable hats are a common sight.

Moshi is a relatively new addition, having joined the family in April, and she is just as adorable as her sisters.

Amassing over three million followers on the app, Tuti, Yuki and Moshi bring comfort and happiness not only to local audiences but to people all over the world.
4. Bruno - @whiteboy_bruno
Seeing how much joy Bruno the dog brings to his family will give you all the feels.
Bruno’s owner shared on TikTok that her parents initially did not want a dog, but eventually fell in love with the Japanese Spitz she brought home.
From adorable TikTok challenges to heartwarming episodes that will make you go “awww”, Bruno’s TikToks will definitely bring a smile to your face.

Bruno is very affectionate and loves his family dearly. Seeing how he and his family can make each other so happy will have you wishing for a canine companion of your own.

5. Milk Tea - @naicha.milktea
Milk Tea is probably the cutest cat I’ve ever seen in my life. This plump brown cat with big round eyes is usually shown sitting or lazing around and living her best life.
Sometimes her lips get stuck on her teeth, making her appear adorably intimidating.

While Milk Tea is relatively new to the TikTok game, her recent videos have received thousands of views, making her a rising star to take note of.
I hope these TikTok pets will help to brighten up your day. But If you’re experiencing the urge to get a pet after watching these TikToks, don’t do it impulsively. Instead, take your time to consider if you are able to commit to taking care of a pet first. Also, consider adopting a pet instead of buying one.
