Aspiring filmmakers can now sign up to learn from global film industry representatives at Viddsee’s virtual Storyteller Boot Camp.

The boot camp, to be held from Jun 21 to 23, will feature international speakers from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, Audible, Dolby, Web3-backed Decentralized Pictures, Beach House Pictures and Daluyong Studios, along with XR and virtual production studio Aux Media, and Viddsee Network Storytellers.

This is supported by Netflix, Blackmagic Design, and Aux Media.

All participants of the boot camp will have exclusive access to the second edition of the Viddsee Labs Pitch Programme, where five story concepts will be selected for developmental support.

The three-day programme will see a new youth category, for creators between the ages of 18 to 25 to pitch their film and television series concepts.

Youth participants’ entries may stand a chance to be among two of the five winning concepts, while three winners will be selected from the open category.

The commercial team from Viddsee will represent the winners’ concepts for potential sales, commissioning and co-production opportunities in regional and international markets.

Viddsee Network Storytellers, collaborators and students may participate in the programme for free.

They may register using their Viddsee creator email or school email and apply the promo codes ‘CREATORCAMP23’ or ‘SCHBOOTCAMP23’ to redeem free tickets for the boot camp until Jun 11.

It is also open to all storytellers and industry professionals globally at USD$50 (SG$77).

“For its second edition, Viddsee Storyteller Boot Camp will present more in-depth topics featuring global speakers. Topics explored reflect the future trends in the industry and skills that are important to help creators stay relevant,” said Kenny Tan, Vice President of Viddsee Studios.

Participants may submit their entries for either category of the Viddsee Labs Pitch Programme after the boot camp, from Jun 23 to Jul 23.

Interested attendees may register or purchase tickets from Eventbrite.
