26 athletes to represent Team Singapore at ASEAN Para Games 2023 in Cambodia

A total of 26 athletes will represent Singapore at the ASEAN Para Games (APG) 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from Jun 3 to 9.

Singapore will compete in six of the 13 sports featured in this year’s APG – athletics, badminton, boccia, powerlifting, swimming and table tennis. 

In the previous edition held in Solo, Indonesia, Team Singapore brought home 28 medals – seven golds, nine silvers, and 12 bronzes. 

The gold medals were clinched by swimmers Wong Zhi Wei, Sophie and Colin Soon, archer Syahidah Alim, shot put thrower Muhammad Dilroy Noordin, as well as Boccia pair Aloysius Gan and Toh Sze Ning. They will all compete in this year’s APG too. 

Sze Ning, 28, has been appointed as Team Singapore’s flag bearer at the 2023 APG. It will be the Boccia athlete’s fifth time competing in the Games.

Athletics: James Ethan Ang Kai Meng, Lional Toh Jun Jie, Maisarah Bte Md Hassan, Muhammad Diroy Noordin, Suhairi Bin Suhani.

Badminton: Ang Chee Hiong, Tay Wei Ming, Xavier Lim Jie Rui (Debutant)

Boccia: Toh Sze Ning, Aloysius Gan Kai Hong, Gareth Ho Jing Rui, Jeralyn Tan Yee Ting

Powerlifting: Lin Shuangchun, Nur ‘Aini Bte Mohamad Yasli

Swimming: Colin Soon Jin Guang, Darren Chan Wei Siang, Janelle Tong Jing Xuan, Jareth Wong Min Ern (Debutant), Han Liang Chou, Moi Yan Ting Danielle, Sophie Soon Jin Wen, Toh Wei Soong, Wong Zhi Wei

Table tennis: Claire Toh Shumin, Muhammad Dinie Asyraf Bin Huzaini, Rodrick Li Zhixian (Debutant)
