13th edition of Budget Quiz to run till Feb 3; winners to receive prizes
Schools with the highest participation under each sub-category will also be awarded prizes.
Members of the public and students can now test their knowledge on the Budget and stand a chance to win prizes.
The 13th edition of the Budget Quiz, conducted by the Ministry of Finance (MOF), will run from Jan 16 to Feb 3.
The Budget Quiz is conducted annually ahead of the Budget Statement, which will be delivered by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, on Feb 14.
According to MOF, the quiz aims to enhance public understanding and awareness of the Budget process and key national policies.
The quiz has two participation categories – the Open Category for the general public, and the Student Category for students in Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges, Centralised Institutes, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education and Autonomous Universities.
Participants will have to complete all 10 multiple-choice questions in the quiz before they can register for a chance to win a prize in the final draw.
The quiz may be attempted multiple times, but only one registration will be allowed for the final draw.
Schools with the highest participation under each sub-category will also be awarded prizes. There is a live leaderboard on the Budget website ranking all the schools with the most quiz participants.
MOF will announce the winners on Feb 10 on its Budget Website and via email notification.
Members of the public may visit MOF’s website or MOF’s Budget Website to subscribe to the Budget Statement mailing list, as well as other Budget-related materials.
The budget quiz can be accessed via MOF’s website.
