103 new Omicron cases reported in Singapore on Dec 30, including 33 locally transmitted
There were 311 new COVID-19 cases reported on Dec 30.
There were 103 new Omicron cases, including 33 locally transmitted cases, reported on Thursday (Dec 30), said the Ministry of Health (MOH).
There were also 311 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Of the new infections, 193 were from the community and 102 of those infected were aged between 12 and 39.
One death related to COVID-19 was reported on Thursday. The national death toll is now 827.
There were 273 cases discharged from the hospital over the past day, while 279 cases remain warded in hospitals. Of these, 45 cases require oxygen supplementation and 20 cases remain in the Intensive Care Unit.
In the last 28 days, 10,424 cases have been recorded, of which 98.7 per cent had no or mild symptoms and 0.9 per cent have required oxygen supplementation.
As of Dec 29, 91 per cent of the eligible population, 87 per cent of total population, are fully vaccinated, 88 per cent have received at least one dose and 40 per cent have received boosters.
