It is the festive season and while there are plenty of good festive meals that you can enjoy in restaurants, some may want to avoid the crowds (yes, COVID-19 is still a thing) and celebrate at home with family and friends instead.

If whipping up a full festive meal is something that is beyond your cooking capabilities (nope, we are not judging!), you can always order in, or do a takeaway from restaurants.

Here are 10 restaurants that delivers or allow takeaway for their festive meals:

1. Crowne Plaza Changi Airport

If you ever thought that salted egg and turkey might go well together, then it is time to put that to a test with Crowne Plaza.

From now till Dec 25, dig into a salted egg yolk roast turkey priced at $168 with a serving size of between eight to 10 people.

The turkey is brined for 24 hours before being coated in creamy salted egg yolk sauce then roasted. XO crabmeat fried rice, seasonal greens and salted egg yolk cream sauce come with the set.

A smaller version of this set, called the turkey roulade, is also available at $98 and serves five people.

If you are looking for something more classic, the traditional roast Christmas turkey serving eight to 10 people is priced at $158.

2. Peach Garden

A household name in Singapore for Chinese food, this eatery’s offerings are unique for this festive season.

Until Dec 25, you can enjoy festive dishes such as roasted pork crackling, fried rice with assorted diced seafood and black truffle sauce and of course, this year’s festive party pack.

The party pack consists of garlic baked turkey and lobster with radish soup and a chocolate marquise yule log for dessert. It serves five and costs just under $255.

3. Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

This year, the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has some new offerings during the festive season till Dec 24 to give a spin on classic festive items.

The roasted tea smoked turkey with assorted roasted root vegetables & giblet gravy, and the lobster thermidor with lobster bisque risotto are among the highlights of the new creations put out by the hotel.

The new additions extend to the desserts as the pistachio mango log cake and coffee mascarpone buche de noel log cake provide a new taste this season while also leveraging on your memories of traditional festive log cakes.

4. The Deli

The Deli is putting a local twist to its festive meals this year.

The sumptuous local Christmas combo costs slightly less than $150 and features crispy char siew turkey, har cheong turkey. Goodwood Park’s specialty, its D24 Durian Puffs, is included too.

There is also a traditional Christmas combo with items such as turkey and a Christmas log cake, costing just under $300, should you want that traditional feel from this restaurant.

Takeaways and deliveries will be available until Dec 26. Do note that you will need to make your order five days in advance.

5. Délifrance Singapore

If you are in the mood for a grand feast, this halal-certified French bakery chain gives you plenty to eat.

Delifrance’s festive offering is meant for eight to 10 people and cost $265. Items in the meal include chicken lasagne, rosemary cranberry turkey and the Joy of Délifrance log cake for dessert among other tasty offerings.

The splendor chicken spread priced at $128 for three to five people is good if you want less food, with a citrus herb chicken and a mango passion log cake for dessert among the highlights.

6. New Ubin Seafood

Tze char and the festive season are an unlikely mix. The well known tze char from this restaurant however will cause many to go for it regardless of the time of year.

From now until Jan 3, 2021, you can dig in to two ‘Truly Singaporean’ tze char festive bundles, priced at $178 and $208, featuring dishes like live crabs, chicken sambal chinchalok and satay among others.

Each bundle can feed five and you can get $20 off turkey orders if you order the tze char festive bundles.

Otherwise, the house smoked turkey is available starting from $108.

7. OverEasy

If you are in the mood for burgers and wings this season, food from this diner may be a good choice for you.

OverEasy’s signature festive set, the ‘Festive Fowl’ has a main of beer can chicken and sides of roasted pumpkin and sautéed kale.

The set is available until Dec 30 and can feed two to three people. Prices for the set start at $78.

8. Mitzo

Fancy a miso lamb shank or special barbecued pork this season? Mitzo’s festive menu has what you are looking for.

The six-course menu features contemporary Cantonese cuisine and is ideal if you want a small gathering this time of year. It serves two people and has a starting price of $148.

9. Greenwood Fish Market

If your idea of holiday indulgence is tucking into delicious seafood, Greenwood Fish Market with its vast selection might be your preferred choice.

The market is offering festive takeaways until Dec 31, with some festive specials large enough to serve eight people.

Their oyster platters allow you to choose what style you like your oysters to be prepared in.

Happening until Jan 3 2021, White Rose Cafe offers the ‘Yuletide’s Delight’ priced at $150. It serves four to five people.

Bringing something new to the table this year, the roasted thai marinated chicken can serve as the centrepiece of your meal, with its zesty marinade made of fresh ginger, garlic, lemongrass, shallots, kaffir lime leaving you feeling refreshed for 2021.

You can of course have the classic roasted rosemary chicken with lemon and garlic if you want to stick to the familiar.
