10 places for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner

This list includes dinners from under $100 to over $250 per pax.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and that means one thing: The pressure is on for those who haven’t planned what to do on that day. 

If you’re wondering where you can bring your significant other for a nice date night with good food, here is a list of 10 restaurants to have your Valentine’s Day dinner at!

We’ve tried to make this list as extensive as possible, so there are options for everyone!

1. Artemis Grill & Sky Bar

Executive Chef Oliver Hyde has specifically designed a Mediterranean-inspired four course set menu for romantic diners this Valentine’s Day.

Guests will be first served an Amuse Bouche Périgord Truffle arancini, before moving onto a selection of starters that include Mushroom Consommé with Truffle Ricotta Dumplings, or Hamachi Tartare with Avocado & Chorizo Romesco, with the extra option of Roasted Boston Lobster at an additional top up of $5 per person.

There are six choices of main courses, including Iberico Pork Chop with Red Wine Poached Apple, Olive-Fed Duck Breast, Black Cod, Root Vegetable Bolognese, or 200g Pasture-fed Beef Tenderloin for a top up of $8.

For dessert, guests can choose from Hazelnut Rice Pudding, Dark Chocolate & Caramel Torte, or the firm favourite Sticky Date Pudding.

Artemis Grill’s Valentine’s Day dinner is available for three evenings only on Saturday (Feb 12), Sunday (Feb 13), and Monday (Feb 14) from 5pm onwards at a starting price of $128 per pax. The full Valentine’s Day menu can be viewed here.

2. Botanico

A secret botanical restaurant and bar located on level two of The Garage, Botanico is offering a Valentine’s Day five-course dinner with “His & Hers” cocktails.

The menu includes Seasonal Oysters, Pan Seared Foie Gras, Kühlbarra Barramundi, Australian Mango Mousse and more.

For drinks, the cocktail “for him” consists of gin, pineapple, lime, and blue curaçao. Meanwhile, the cocktail “for her” has vodka, cranberry, lime, and strawberry.

Prices begin at $268 per couple for indoor seats, and $368 for outdoor seating which comes with an exclusive Perrier-Jouët champagne.

Botanico’s Valentine’s Day dinner will be available on both Feb 13 and Feb 14, with first seating from 6pm to 8pm, and second seating at 8.30pm to 10pm.

3. Bee’s Knees

Also located at The Garage, Bee’s Knees is offering a three-course dinner on Feb 14 at $98 per couple.

Diners can look forward to Tomato Consommé, Roasted Pluma Steak and Pan Seared King Salmon, as well as a Valrhona Chocolate Tart.

First seating is from 6pm to 7.30pm, and second seating is from 8pm to 9.30pm. The full three-course dinner menu can be viewed here.

But if you’re looking for a Valentine’s meal a little more unconventional, Bee’s Knees is also offering Valentine’s Day picnic baskets for an adorable, outdoor date for couples who prefer having a less formal dinner.

There are two Valentine’s Picnic packages available — the “Vday picnic buzz-ket for 2” at $100, and the “Vday picnic box for 2” at $70.

Both picnic packages offer roughly the same range of food items. Guests may pick two mains  from a range of various salads such as the Oriental Duck Salad and The Veggie Goat, and Smoked Duck Aglio Olio pasta. 

Both offer a choice of sides of either truffle fries, or fresh fruits, quinoa, and citrus honey. Drinks include Lychee Calamansi, Watermelon Mint Tea, Black Basil, and other common soft drinks.

However, in the buzz-ket, there is a wider variety of mains including various 6-inch pizzas such as the Smoked Chicken Mayo, more salad options such as the Oriental Chicken Salad, and more pasta options including the Laksa Tiger Prawn.

The picnic buzz-ket comes with a picnic mat, foldable table, battery operated candlelight, and cushions. Meanwhile, the picnic box includes a take-home picnic mat. Both packages come with a complimentary gift.

4. Alley on 25

At just $88 per person, guests can enjoy a delectable four-course Valentine’s Day menu at Alley on 25 in Andaz Singapore.

To start off, diners will be served a Heirloom Tomato Tart and Sweet Corn Soup, followed by either Roasted Duck Breast or Oven Baked Fjord Trout, and lastly a Manjari cremeux chocolate cake with fresh raspberries for dessert.

There is also a vegetarian menu available, serving Black Truffle Mushroom Risotto for it’s main dish.

5. Permata

Located at Kampong Gelam, Permata is a halal restaurant specialising in Indonesian cuisine. Their Valentine’s menu is available for both lunch and dinner from Feb 11 to Feb 14.

Guests can look forward to Lychee and Pomegranate Salad, Chargrilled Filet Mignon, Panna Cotta, and complimentary Asmaradana Mocktails.

6. Burger & Lobster

From Feb 11 to Feb 14, guests may enjoy a loving feast with Burger & Lobster’s Valentine’s Day sharing menu.

Burger & Lobster has two outlets — one at Raffles Hotel, and another in Jewel Changi Airport, serving slightly different variations of their Valentine’s menu.

While guests from both outlets will be treated to one starter, a main, and white chocolate pudding for dessert; the Raffles outlet offers an additional starter option of pan seared scallops, while the Jewel outlet only serves Pink Cauliflower Soup.

Those dining at the Raffles outlet can look forward to half a grilled lobster served with linguine or a chickpea and pea burger with guacamole, Jewel diners may enjoy a ​​saffron aioli lobster roll.

7. Black Marble

Located in Holland Village, Black Marble by Otto is serving a four-course Valentine’s Day set, available for both lunch and dinner on Feb 13 and Feb 14.

For appetisers, diners can choose from either Oyster and Scallop Tartare or Warm Angel Hair with Pan Seared Scallop. They will be served a Black Truffle Mushroom Emulsion soup, followed by a sharing platter of both chargrilled wagyu tri-tip with truffle sauce, and lobster thermidor with pomme purée. Dessert will be an Ispahan Millefeuille with rose, lychee and raspberry.

8. Dolce Vita

Dolce Vita at Mandarin Oriental offers a taste of Italy with their 5-course Valentine’s Day dinner set menu.

At a price of $198, you will be treated to a Heirloom Beetroot Texture with green apple and goat cheese, Slow Cooked Organic Egg with roasted pumpkin purée and truffle, Homemade Stuffed Pasta with prawns, white wine sauce, and oscietra caviar, Pan Roasted Lamb Rack with braised red cabbage, and finally a Rhubarb Compote with black lemon parfait and strawberry sorbet to end the meal.

9. Flutes

From Feb 12 to Feb 13, Flutes at the National Museum of Singapore will be offering a pre-Valentine’s lunch and dinner, as well as a special Valentine’s dinner-only on Feb 14.

For pre-Valentine’s lunch, guests can enjoy Carpaccio Of Robbins Island Wagyu, Fillet Of Shark Bay Snapper, and Barbequed Wanderer Barley Fed Beef Striploin.

While both the pre-Valentine’s and Valentine’s Day dinner include Alaskan King Crab Salad, and South Australian Lobster ‘laksa noodles’ with caviar for an optional add-on of $22; the pre-Valentine’s dinner offers Barbequed Rangers Valley Wagyu Striploin with truffle, while the Valentine’s Day dinner offers Robbins Island Grassfed Full Blood Wagyu Striploin with black truffle.

10. Monti

For couples who don’t mind splurging for Valentine’s this year, Monti at 1-Pavilion offers a fantastic view of Singapore’s city-scape including the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer, and the lotus-shaped ArtScience Museum; alongside a scrumptious 5-course dinner.

Diners can choose from Woodfire Grilled Gilmar Octopus or Roasted Smoked Scamorza Cheese as appetisers, enjoy Ricotta & Cage Free Yolk Ravioli, and pick either Roasted Australian Wagyu Beef Tenderloin, Roasted White Cod, or House Made Gnocchi for their main course.

Those with a sweet tooth will be pleased to know that Monti will be serving pre-dessert before the actual dessert of Ivory Chocolate Mousse!
