SGW 2021 will see a lineup of activities to celebrate the local game industry players and its communities.
Held in conjunction with gamescom asia, the festival aims to showcase Singapore’s vibrant games industry to the public, as well as the international gaming community.
Key events of the festival include the SGW Virtual Village: The main exhibition event for SGW, the SGW Virtual Village will offer opportunities for companies and members of the public to network with Singapore-based game companies and communities that make up the local games ecosystem. It opens on 11 October, and will remain open till 31 October.
As part of gamescom asia, the first Asian satellite event of the world‘s largest computer and video games festival, SGGA will host a hybrid Singapore Pavilion at the event. Singapore-based gaming and esports startups and SMEs such as game development studios, esports production companies, and platforms will exhibit at the pavilion. Organised by SGGA in partnership with gamescom asia, Asia Games Awards closes the festival on a celebratory high. Held virtually on 17 October, the awards recognise the best in Asia’s games scene – be it games, events, gaming and esports, esports achievements and more.
SGW 2021 is open to visitors from the games industry as well as companies and members of the public who are interested in Singapore’s gaming scene.
SGW Virtual Village is free, while gamescom asia entry ticket fees apply for the Singapore Pavilion.
