SAY-IT @ YOUth Alive!
Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is reviving the physical carnival for the fourth instalment of YOUth Alive! 2022, which will take place on November 19th from 1pm to 6pm!
The carnival will be filled with a myriad of activities, performances, and the sharing of youths performers that will encourage youth participants to embrace the journey of self-expression as a unique individual.
Youths can look forward to events in the amphitheater and the SAMH SAY-IT! center. They can express themselves through activities such as Henna, tote bag design, and so on, at the amphitheater. The participants can also give encouragements to themselves and other youths through designing of pebbles with Beyond the Label, writing word of hope at SAMH’s Tree of Hope, and make aspirations for the coming year with Fengshan Youths Network.
Jeremy the Mash, a professional busker who creates covers by mixing different songs, YIU, who develops music from scratch in the comfort of the bedroom, and others will be having song performances. Youths can visit the SAMH SAY-IT! centre’s open house to see skit and dance performances, as well as hear from our volunteers on their personal mental health journeys.
Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) has been uplifting lives and promoting mental wellness for all since 1968.
We improve the lives of persons with mental health issues through rehabilitation and reintegration. Our beneficiaries include youths and adults. We are here at every step of their recovery journey, while also providing emotional and practical support to their families and caregivers.
SAMH SAY-IT! SAMH SAY-IT! (Sports, Arts and Youths – Integrated Team!) believes that it is important for youths to express themselves in creative ways. We are a community-based team which provides psycho-social therapeutic interventions for youths and their families with mental health needs.
