Forest Therapy on Water

Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Forest Therapy/ Forest Bathing is a relational practice that brings people into deeper intimacy with natural places and emphasis on cultivating a relationship with the earth. In a facilitated Forest Therapy session, there is a clearly defined sequence of guided invitations that provides structure to the experience, while embracing the many opportunities for creativity and discovery offered by nature. The paddle-based Forest Therapy experience may be conducted on kayak or stand-up paddle board in a reservoir on at coastal environment.
The session will begin with an introduction of the paddle sport and Forest Therapy. Followed by demonstration of basic directional paddling techniques and guided practice on water. The session aims to awaken the different senses, engaging in nature appreciation and incorporate mindfulness activities to promote the overall wellbeing.
