Topic for Curious Potato Talk Series #05
Dilemma between post-graduate education and direct working experiences.

Who
Are you considering furthering your education? Are you wondering why your friends around you are pursuing further education? Should you pursue a post-graduate degree? Are you thinking about whether the good and bad reasons for obtaining a further education are myths or fact? If you have some of these questions unanswered, come join us and hear from our youth speakers who have different education background and career experiences. Join us in exploring whether we should pursue further education!

Why
With the pandemic posing travel restrictions and pushing schools to adopt virtual teaching, these changes have disrupted many of our youth’s post-graduation career and education plans. Moreover, deciding whether or not to take on a postgraduate education or go straight into the workplace has always be a tough call. So join us on 22nd September (Wed) 8PM – 9.30PM in understanding what motivates our youth speakers from Singapore, China and the United Kingdom, to choose between learning or earning. Together, we explore if cultural differences do influence the youth’s choices.
